Every WolfTeam Legacy player knows the feeling: a friend joins Wolfory with a starter rifle while your inventory holds the good stuff. The shop has a built-in answer. Next to the normal buy button sits a second option, "Send Gift" (in Turkish, "Hediye Yolla"), which buys the item at the normal price and drops it straight into another player's in-game gift box. No trades, no meetups in a lobby, no third-party websites — just pick, pay, done. This guide walks through the whole flow: how to send a gift, how to check a friend's name before you pay, what the rules and limits are, and how the 90-day gift box window works on the receiving side.
How to send a gift from the shop
Open the in-game shop and browse to the item you want to give, exactly as if you were buying it for yourself. Select the duration option you want to gift — a 1, 7 or 30 day rental or a permanent item — and choose the gift option instead of the normal purchase. The dialog asks for two things: your friend's callsign (their exact in-game name) and an optional personal message. Confirm, and the item is bought and delivered in one step.
The dialog shows your Gold balance before and after the send, so you always see what you are paying. A gift costs exactly what the same item and duration would cost if you bought it for yourself. The server re-checks the price against the official shop catalog before charging anything, so the number shown in the dialog is the number that gets deducted — nothing more.
Check the callsign before you pay
The most common gift mistake is a typo in the recipient's name. The shop helps here: before you confirm, it can query the server to check whether the callsign you typed belongs to a real account, and tells you if the name was not found. Name matching ignores upper and lower case and trims stray spaces around the name, so "Sharpshooter" and "sharpshooter" reach the same player.
Still, the check is worth using every time, because the server delivers gifts to whoever owns the callsign you entered. One more hard rule to remember: you cannot send a gift to yourself. The server rejects self-gifts outright, and there is no way around it — a gift always needs a different recipient.
Gift rules: prices, balances and limits
Gifts run on the same earned economy as everything else in WolfTeam Legacy. You pay with the currency the item is listed in — Gold or WC — and the amount is debited from your balance immediately, in the same moment the gift is created. If your balance is too low, the send fails and nothing changes.
Two capacity rules protect both sides of the exchange. On your side, the send simply fails if you cannot afford the item. On your friend's side, every gift box holds up to 100 gifts at a time; if the recipient's box is full, the shop refuses the send and tells you their box has no room. That keeps gifts from silently vanishing into an overloaded mailbox.
Your personal message travels with the gift and can be up to 127 characters. It shows up when your friend opens the gift, next to your callsign — a short "gg on the ranks yesterday, this is yours" costs nothing and lands well.
The 90-day gift box window
Every gift in the box carries a deadline: 90 days from the moment it was delivered. The gift list shows how many days each item has left, and once the window passes, the expired gift is deleted automatically. Nobody has to clean it up by hand, and a lapsed gift cannot be recovered, so it pays to check the box after a long break.
The window is generous by design, but the same mailbox is also used by the system: the welcome pack for new players and Lucky Box rewards arrive in the gift box too. If you are at the 100-item limit, claiming or clearing old entries makes room for everything at once.
Claiming a gift — and what your friend receives
On the receiving end, the gift box lists every arrival with the sender's callsign, the item, and its remaining days. New gifts show as unread; opening one shows the full details, including your message. Claiming moves the item into the friend's inventory — and the item's own timer only starts at that moment. A 7-day rifle claimed three weeks after it was sent still has its full 7 days ahead of it; permanent items stay permanent no matter when they are claimed.
Claiming is safe against bad luck. The claim runs as a single all-or-nothing operation on the server, so a disconnect in the middle cannot lose the gift or grant it twice. Set items keep their full contents as well: a gifted set claims as the complete kit, not a lone piece. And your friend can see what you sent them later too — the gift box has a sent view that lists everything you have given away, with dates.
Quick answers
Can I gift any shop item? Anything the shop sells with a duration option can be sent as a gift at the same price; the gift flow uses the official catalog, not a separate list.
Does gifting have a fee? No. A gift costs exactly the item's normal shop price and nothing extra.
Can I cancel or take back a gift? No. Once the send is confirmed, the Gold or WC is spent and the gift sits in the recipient's box until they claim it or the 90 days run out. Choose the recipient carefully.
Does my friend need to be online? No. Gifts are delivered to their gift box and wait there, up to the 90-day window, whether they are online or not.
Is there a limit on how many gifts I can send? There is no per-day send limit on your side; the binding limit is your balance and your friend's 100-slot box.
Gifting is the simplest way to look after a squad mate on Wolfory — earned Gold turns directly into someone else's good evening. Pick something useful, double-check the callsign, add a message, and let the gift box do the rest.
