Destruction is the classic bomb mode of WolfTeam Legacy: one side attacks with an explosive charge, the other defends two marked bomb sites. Every round is a short story of pressure and patience. The attackers have to deliver the bomb, the defenders have to make sure it never ticks. If you have only played team deathmatch so far, Destruction is the mode where positioning and timing matter as much as aim.
Choosing the mode and an arena
Create a room, open the mode list and pick Destruction — Yıkım in the Turkish client. The map list then offers the arenas that ship bomb-site layouts: Two Temple, Base 3275, Station, Storage2, Train Factory, Rose, Frozen, City Arena, War Plant, Scent, Wolf Center and Sand Storm. Each of them carries its own bomb minimap and loading artwork, and the two sites are marked B1 and B2 on the field. Rooms hold up to eight players per side, so a full bomb match runs eight against eight with the usual single spectator seat.
The attacking side: deliver the bomb
The bomb lives in its own special weapon slot — open that slot and select the bomb. Walk to a marked site; if you try to plant somewhere else, the client sends you back with a reminder to reach B1 or B2. At the site, hold the left mouse button until the charge is set. The moment the bomb goes down, the message "Bomb has been planted" names the area, and the round clock gains sixty extra seconds. That extension is deliberate: the fuse itself burns for forty seconds, so defenders always get a real window to answer the plant even when the original round time was almost gone.
Good attacking play starts before the plant. Clear the site with your team, use the built-in radio messages — "I will plant the bomb", "Plant the bomb quick", "To the bomb site" — and only start planting when a teammate is watching the entrance. A planted bomb with no defenders alive is a won round; a planted bomb with three defenders hiding nearby is a coin flip.
The defending side: break the plant or survive the fuse
Defenders win a Destruction round in three ways. First, wipe the attackers before the plant — with no bomb down, eliminating the whole attacking team ends the round immediately. Second, if the bomb is already planted, get a defender onto it: stand next to the charge and the client prompts you to press E to defuse. A finished defuse instantly wins the round for the defending side and scores it toward the match. Third, if neither side finishes the job, the clock decides: when the round time runs out, the team that lost fewer players takes the round, and a tie goes to the attackers.
One rule matters so much that it deserves its own paragraph, and it changed with the 2026-10-25 update. Planting the bomb no longer ends when the attacking team is wiped — a live charge keeps the attackers' objective alive, so killing the last attacker does not save you. You have to find the bomb, reach it and defuse it, or contest the site until the fuse runs out. So defend the plant, not just the players: listen for the plant, watch B1 and B2, and remember the forty-second fuse is short. Run to the site first, fight second.
Rounds, scoring and match limits
The room host sets the usual limits before START: how many rounds a side must win and how long each round lasts. Scoring is one point per round. The attacking side scores when the bomb explodes or when every defender is eliminated; the defending side scores when a defender defuses the bomb or when every attacker is eliminated before the plant. The match ends as soon as one side reaches the rounds target, so every round carries weight — a lost match is not a comeback story, just a reason to queue again.
Rewards, eligibility and practice
Destruction is a player-versus-player mode, so it follows the server's earned-reward rules: opposing teams sized within one player of each other, staying until the match completes, and at least sixty seconds alive after spawning. The /matchstatus command tells you whether your current room is training or eligible, and /progress shows your goals. There are no bots in Destruction — if your aim is cold, warm up in an AI Deathmatch room on Arrival first, then bring it to the bomb sites. Gold and Wolf Coin campaigns rotate on the events calendar, so check it before a long session.
Where Destruction stands today
The field manual groups Destruction with Conquest and Ice Hold as objective modes backed by server round-clock and winner verification, while full paired testing of every objective interaction is still listed as pending for this community build. The 2026-10-25 release specifically hardened bomb round outcomes: a planted bomb now reliably survives the attackers' elimination, and eliminating all defenders reliably finishes the round for attackers. In short, the mode plays as described here; expect the small rough edges of an active community build, and report anything odd in the community channels.
